Default Duds????

I have a few white metal badges, which I think most are Duds, but some I hope are originals, can anyone help weeding the chaff from the seed??

There are a couple (such as the BW, the HLI and the top left Liverpool Scottish) that I would dismiss as fakes. The LS has the die flaws seen on the ebay fakes for certain.

I do like the 7th PWO and believe that is 100% genuine. The KOSB, Seaforths and Cameronians also look good.

The Argylles, London scottish and the second liverpool scottish are probably ok but the 2 Tyneside are probably not. Certainly the RH one's poor reverse concerns me.

Trouble with all w/m badge is that they are easy to fake so i cannot be more certain.

Cheers Alan , With reference to the die flaws, do you mean the detail like the head area and the hands?

Looking at both together, there is a big discrepency with regards to those areas. Even the metal is different, the one you highlighted is alot shinier than the other.

thanks again

Yes - the LS fake has a flipper for a hand!

Would also second Alan's assessment of these badges.
