unknown cap badge WW1 era
Can anyone confirm which regiment this cap badge would be for?
WW1 era, other ranks. Any insights welcome! |

It’s a POW plums with the Ich Dien scrolls removed.
Similar discussed recently in another thread. The unit remains unidentified but VTC and others have been proposed. |

This shows a photo of the badge in use but it's not a VTC uniform. Last edited by Alan O; 25-02-24 at 11:44 AM. |

Again, another photographers studio shot, the hat could be a prop along with the swagger stick.
The man is wearing a leather belt which probably makes him a territorial, but unless there is any written information this photo is hard to identify. Rob |

I think Service Bn rather than TF as the s/t is not the TF one.
I think it could well be the short curved Welsh one. |

This photo has "for sale on e-bay" plastered all over it, I would appreciate it if items like these that are for sale to be offered to forum members first before using forum members knowledge to enhance the sale elsewhere.
Many badge collecting forum members also collect photographic postcards apart from badges. Rob |

If it were his own why use such a low res image with unsightly watermarks. |

That's why it is watermarked, to stop people stealing it, but i see no harm here, it is of academic interest but does not violate the sellers rights

I am the seller, or rather shall be, as the photo is not yet made available for sale. I would be more happy to receive offers from forum members, in case anyone has a particular interest and the price is mutually agreeable. I should mention that I do collect myself, and that is my primary source of interest, but also do some selling on eBay. |
