Default Glider Pilot Regiment - Button Artwork By Firmin

Hi Guys,

I don't collect buttons but someone here may find this piece of artwork by Firmin of interest.

Size of button drawn is probably actual size.

Providence is impeccable.

Regards

Chris

Chris,

Was there any additional information concerning what material this F&S button was produced in? - I assume staybright but it could just as easily be gilt I suppose.

Is this artwork another IWM find?.

Thanks very much indeed for showing, super stuff!

Cheers,

Kev C

Hi Kev,

Looks like the job eventually went to Gaunt.

Read the two letters - GM is noted in one as the metal of choice.

Hope this is of interest.

Regards

Chris

No worries, Kev.

Not my sort of thing but if I come across stuff like this I tend to accumulate it for others who appreciate these items more than I do.

Regards

Chris

Very interesting card on this button. Attached is a scan of the Glider Pilot Regiment button from my collection, it is gilt, with KC. Backmark is Pitt & Co. Maddox St. London.
