Default Air Force badges

Hi All
Can anyone give me some info about these two badges please?
The first is a gilt eagle below a bullion queen's crown. I picked it up in Glasgow for a pound about 10 years ago. It is 46mm high by 42mm wide and is sew on so there aren't any lugs or fasteners on the reverse.
The next badge is similar to an officer's side cap badge but in one piece and with the eagle facing left instead of right. The lugs have been altered at some stage to make it into a brooch, but the pin is now missing. It is 52.5mm wide by 24mm high.
Thanks in advance.
cheers,
Alex

If these badges are complete as shown, then I do not know the answers. However the first looks like an incomplete RAF Officer's badge: it is missing 2 pairs of gold bullion laurel beneath.
The second is indeed a mystery. At first sight it looks like a Field Service (side hat) cap badge for Officers and WOs: but the correct badge has a separate crown and the Eagle should face Right, as do all the RAF's eagles except the cloth eagle on each shoulder, which are flying forwards.

The shoulder and sleeve Eagles are worn flying to the rear.

Default RAF Badges

Hi
Thanks for the answers. The cloth and gilt badge isn't a half finished officers badge as it's probably smaller than half the size of an officers cap badge. Maybe a collar of some sort.
The other badge is the same size as an officers side cap badge. I thought the sleeve and shoulder eagles were smaller than the cap badges?
Cheers,
Alex

They could both be part of a Flight Sergeants badge of rank for different uniforms, pinback for a tropical wear, and the cloth QC one may be for the Cerimonial or Band Jacket.

I seem to recall seeing these being sold as beret badges, but cannot quite remember why.
