Default Hampshire Newbie

Good afternoon! Not only am I new to this website but i'm also new to the hobby. I have started collecting Hampshire Regt & Hampshire Yeomanry items.

Any advice from more experienced hobbyists would be greatly appreciated! Firstly, what reference books would be recommended?

Welcome, There are many books etc out there that will help. Most collectors use Kipling & King Vol 1 & 2. There are mistakes and omissions in the books but not all books are complete as items are found on a regular basis.
Are you intending to collect "metal" badges or will you include cloth shoulder titles and cloth Unit insignia ?
I cannot say if there are particular books on your chosen subject but there are many within this forum that are very knowledgeable on many aspects of our hobby .
Enjoy

Jerry

As a lowly Sussexonian, do you not realise that beyond that great border to your West lies the most wonderful county of Hampshire [itself being a sub-unit to the even more wonderful county of the Isle of Wight] ?

See attached for a very good starting point for collecting to the Hampshire Hogs!

ps
did you like the badge I sent you?
