Default 51st Highland Div. Canadian Helmet Transfer?

Gentlemen,
I picked up this helmet recently. It came out of a large, old,"hoarder" estate sale purportedly, and I paid very little for it. It looks to have a Gale & Polden WW2 era transfer on the left side, which was properly applied with varnish, which has aged. It is clearly a 51st Highland Division formation sign. However, it is on a Canadian CL/C 1942 (1941 liner) helmet and is in excellent condition. It looks quite original to the helmet to me and has been on it a long time. The history of the 51st Highland Division shows that they were under the command of the Canadian Corps for Operation Totalize during the Normandy fighting. Has anyone seen this Highland Div. transfer? Could this be simply a helmet supplied to the Highland Div. as a result of pooled supply? Could it be Canadian cadre or liason attached to the 51st Highland Div.? Thoughts, comments, and any assistance are appreciated.
Cheers,
HB

I have found one other transfer like this on a Canadian Mk.II. Below is a comparison of the two decals next to each other, but the other appears to have been placed on the front of that helmet, not the left side as this one. Though on the other helmet I cannot see the rivets on the sides, so is it on the front or the side?

Comparing them, they look like the same die / manufacture run, same decal.
