Rising sun swagger sticks
I have always been interested in all varieties of rising suns, and have only ever seen a few swagger sticks. None of these has a maker's name and were no doubt all private purchases.
Three of the scanned sticks just have the badge and could be either WW1 or WW2. One ball top has "59th Bn Brunswick and Coburg Regiment" above the badge, and "Great War 1914-1918" below. This would make it a definite WW2 variation. The other has "4th B'DE" above the badge which probably indicates WW1. Interested in other variations if anyone has a spare. |
