Rhodesia National Parks and Wildlife
This rather battered anodised cap badge turned up yesterday. It is missing a lug. It will still find a place in the collection as, although on the face of it, it is not strictly military, it has a strong military connection. Many of the original Selous Scout trackers were drawn from the Parks service.
With the badge were a couple of cloth patches which feature an elephant with trunk raised. Can anyone tell me what that represented ? Regards Mike |

The cloth formation sign is the very desirable sign of 22 (East African ) Brigade. Initially part of 12 (African Division in the-then Italian East Africa and Abyssinia and later in South East Asia Command in Fourteenth Army. Mike

Thank you for posting this picture Mike. As one who used to base himself on Main Camp when carrying out projects in Hwange Rural District I was glad to see it, and yes, the badge has a top spot in my collection too.
Regards, John
