Surely not!!.
I know it's been a long time since I gave up the militaria collecting hobby but prices surely can't have got this bad. Over on the GMIC forum somebody claims to have paid £65 for a bog-standard Victorian brass other ranks General Service button of which thousands were made and remain a common sight. Surely they can still be picked up for a couple of quid or am I out of touch altogether? .

I can see red in the background and what looks like facings, maybe. Hope for £65 there’s a whole dress tunic attached to that QVC button. |

To conclude it was an item with these buttons attached so it may not be a bad buy at all.
