Default 4th RWF depot at Chirk

Not sure if this has been shared before, but I was in Chirk on Tuesday for a intervisibility photo survey and noticed this building as I was leaving to head toward Flint for another job the following day.

I took almost identical photos about 3 years ago, the guys in the coal depot were most obliging. The local war memorial is on the nearby road junction if memory serves me right. Also, there is a small exhibit about one of the officers in nearby Chirk castle, again, if memory serves.

As an aside, if any member ever visits Chirk Castle, I defy them to be impressed by ‘the gates’.

It seemed to be a pet food wholesalers these days, friendly old guy running it. I was at the castle earlier but only in the grounds doing work, I'll go again in my own time.
