Default EVIIIR button I D

Bought this button today along with a 7th Rajput's and a Victorian Shropshire Yeomanry. It has raised letters and appears gilded or just very shiny? Anybody help with an ID.
Cheers,
John

£1.50 each is a good price for quality buttons but it depends on what you want to do with them, as it seems to be a narrower collecting theme & not as popular as military, railway, maritime, etc.

Regards,

David.

I'm going back to where I bought it in a couple of weeks, I'll pick the rest up if they are still there.

A Victorian Shropshire Yeomanry? I’m intrigued, in the QVC era they would have been called Yeomanry Cavalry.

Unless you are referring to the below flat topped crown SY fantasy/fake badge courtesy of Martin Marsh with the silly engraved cat faces?

You are correct Luke, the button reads Shropshire Yeomanry Cavalry with the standard Victorian crown.
Cheers
