US 'Tiger' Patch ID..?
Hi Gents,
Can I ask if someone can ID this US patch for me? Any info would be a great help as it's out of my area of knowledge. Full disclosure; it's part of a small grouping I will be selling for a client. Cheers, Roy

Hi Roy,
This patch is for Tank destroyer Bn, a nice WW2 variant with 8 wheels.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_d...(United_States) Regards Normandie18 |

The 8 wheel is a little less common than the standard 4 wheel. But, the really rare one is the 6 wheel! All are US Tank Destroyer and one of my favorite US patches. I still have my 4 and 8 wheel patches.
Also, l you didn't show the back, but if it has a green tint from green threads, then it is what we call a "greenback" which is considered very desirable and brings extra bucks....but in reality is just what the maker used as bobbin thread. Terry |
