Default Celebs wearing military badges

Hiya guys,

I was looking around the Internet today and found "2" images of the late; MJ (Micheal Jackson) with 2 Regimental badges in his dress. This doesn't bother me in the slightest and to each his own.

In the first image he is wearing a Blazer badge to my Corps (RCT) Royal Corps of Transport, with a second image of a close up of the badge.

A MJ.jpg A MJ 4.jpg

In the third image he is wearing a rather large "Tie Pin" to the (RE) Royal Engineers which is actually a GviR KC cap badge.

A MJ 5.jpg

Has anyone got any other images of celebrities wearing strange military badges as fashionable items, if so let's see them on this page ?

Hi

Here's a pic of Duran Duran's John Taylor sporting a guitar strap with badges.

Cheers

Around the time he was wearing the RCT badge, Mr Jackson was also wearing the Serbian Order of the White Eagle, more colourful than the traditional simple collar & tie as attire for court appearances.

I think I've found the blazer badge he was wearing in the first post, what do you think ?

RCT-RAOB Blazer badge.jpg

He has been recorded as being a Philanthropist, as he gave away upwards of $500,000,000 to charities !!

In answer to Mikes image;

The plate is actually worn on the HELMET, thus MJ "could" be making a statement to the world, "That he is a HELMET"

Photos appeared a few years ago of the Duchess of Cambridge wearing a fascinator, one of those arrangements of feathers worn on the head as a bit of lady garnish, the ornament on it was a RWF badge coloured silver.

Just found what looks like it when I googled. Worn at Angelsey in 2011,

"....designed by Vivien Sheriff Millinery, a small company based in rural Wiltshire which makes all of their hats by hand. And the design team was just as delighted to see the piece atop Kate's head as anyone."

"We saw it on the Internet and we were extremely happy," says Maddie O'Mahony, part of the milliner's design team. "She has quite a few of our pieces and luckily she wore one of ours today."
…is made of chocolate brown velvet and trimmed with feathers (mostly pheasant) that match the rich brown of Kate’s outfit. It also features a cameo and badges from a military uniform maker – including, fittingly, a Welsh badge."

Regarding celebrities wearing badges, you'll have a field day with Motorhead's bassist Lemmy.

Rgds, Thomas.

Oh bugger me yes he has been seen wearing badges from the Third Reich SS mostly,
But on the other hand he collects SS militara and has an extensive collection and is quite knowledgeable on the subject.

Mr Jackson also used to have an penchant for wearing jackets which featured the insignia of the KGB honour guard. Think he knew what he was wearing represented? Ah heck, it looks nice...

Old Jacko certainly had an eye for wearing shiny things he wasn't entitled to wear. I wonder what action he would have taken if someone had been as free with something he owned the copyright to? He came from a very litigious family.

As mentioned previously in the thread he was oft to be seen wearing military type badges in his hats.
I hadn't seen pics of him wearing the Grenadier's one before.

Lemmy Kilminster -"Smart as a Guardsman" but should've stood a bit closer to the razor.
