Default Did Stan and Ollie join the British Army

Noticed this image on the forum and blew the image up perhaps there filming days were over and they were looking for another career.

Apparently they did! Shame they made Ollie shave his 'stach. All Stan's fault. "here's another fine mess you have gotten me into....".
PS, they were in the Black Watch on the NW Frontier in the 30s too.

I am reminded that 60 odd years ago my grandfather used to to do a Stan and Ollie impersonation with his best mate. Grandpa played Stan, a reasonable lookalike?
