Default Belt Buckle

Hi All,

I got this belt buckle as part of a job lot, can anyone help identify it. A friend thought it might be a Victorian one that has been nickel plated.

It's outside my interest so it will probably go into my swaps box.

Thanks for the help,

Michael

It’s the standard brass Victorian General Service belt buckle which someone has then chromed.

They’re very common and worth less than a QVC Infantry badge.

Simon’s beaten me to it again.

As the man says they were WM, not chromed, like this one https://www.cultmancollectables.com/...roduct_id=4493

It may have been done for a band or something like that. I don't imagine it would have been done for nothing.

Medals, death plaques, badges, shells and shell cases - all nickel/chromed for no purpose at all other than to look nice and shiny.
