44. R.A.M.C Maroon Beret- Help please

Hello
I have purchased this Airborne Beret this week and need some help on the construction. I have read all the guides and reviews, looked at the Lock books among others and cannot find a Kangol beret with the circular construction.

What I do know is.

1. Badge is in my opinion always been on the beret, or for a very long time
2. Writing, date and size is good
3. Correct double stiching around the printed lines
4. Leather covering the eylets
5. Loose stitching around the liner
6. The leather band is stitched to the crown, and is un-messed with
7. It has the right smell
8. Correct WD stamp M


Any Thoughts or insight is appreciated

It could be the photo's but the beret looks RMP red and not maroon..

Thanks for responding. It is maroon, but a much brighter color than my others.
