Default Crossed swords and batons

Figured I would start something in this new category. Prior to the introduction of coloured pips for the different branches, regular khaki pips and crowns were worn. I have a pair of what I believe to be pre-service coloured branch cloth swords and batons as would have been worn by general officers. I know where they came from so their authenticity is beyond question....has anyone even seen a picture of these in wear? Included in the scan is a pair of later pattern generals rank insignia with the red backing.

Hi Dwayne,

Are you aware the crossed swords and batons are being reproduced in the UK in gilded metal?

Default Scully made

.....I'm sure many things are being reproduced in the UK. I have a pair of Scully marked metal crossed swords and batons. They also come in 2 different sizes.

The repros are characterised by a poorly executed design on the sword blade.

they are are both being worn currently by the Indian and Pakistan armies and police which are over populated with general ranks and are often seen in wear over there .
