I finally found a good example of a 1 Canadian Parachute Battalion private purchase embroidered shoulder title and thought I might share a few images.

I'm the first one to admit I know little of the insignia from this unit but having recently acquired a beautiful F-S knife to an officer form the 1st Para Battalion my interest is certainly peeked. Many thanks for sharing the great patch, condition looks really great. Is this your fist patch to this unit or do you have more to share?

Here is a link to an earlier posting about repro titles for the 1 Cdn Para Battalion. Unfortunately, the repro titles continue to show up for sale.
One characteristic of all "good" titles is that the embroidery goes through the backing material. On the Pakistani made repros, the top panel is embroidered and then sewn on the border panel.

You have some nice rare 1st Can Para shoulder flashes, however I have a question about the fourth one in from the left, beside the wing. It doesn’t look ‘normal’ to me. Does the backing have cloth or glue backing?....

If it is a ‘glue back’, then it is a common fake produced in the UK.
