Default British Security Coordination 2nd Pattern

I picked this up today at my local militaria shop. Both the seller and myself assumed it was a reproduction and priced accordingly. I don’t imagine I’ll ever come across a real one! From what I understand this pattern was postwar and worn at reunions?

Dont know anything about when it was worn or why but I am confident that it is a genuine period badge.

Yup. Sir William Stephenson’s. I’m in the process of getting out of the CAF Int reserves (we’re officially the Intelligence Corps again!) and he was our first Colonel-Commandant and from my home city so he’s still a big figure for us.

Just took a close look and it does have the Scully mark! It’s hard to see with the tarnish and I can’t get a decent closeup with my iPhone camera, but it’s there.
