Hi Canadian buffs,
I would be interested in comments on this badge. Thanks. Tinto

Hi Tinto, It is a sweetheart pin based on the First World War badge.

Thanks, Bill. I'm wondering if it is a genuine WW1 period sweetheart badge. I guess these are quite rare.
I notice some spill of the blue enamel/paint off the scroll.
Cheers, Tinto

Not sure they are rare, but it a highly prized unit for collectors. Part of the high prices derive from interest in the battalion.

Default NEWFOUNDLAND SWEETHEART

Hi

To bad the enamel is a little sloppy. They are a fairly common version of a WW I Newfoundland sweetheart. That said, any Newfoundland badge is hard to come by and fairly expensive.
