Queen's Unfinished Collar Badge
As luck would have it, the other day I happened upon this unfinished collar badge to the Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey) [Churchill Fig.46].
I thought it might be of interest as this pattern collar badge has recently been the topic of conversation over in this thread, where it is speculated that it might have been worn in the FSH, and appears to have come from exactly the same die as Nozzer's badge and the badge posted by 2747andy here. Very nice. As I mentioned, I think it is a 'planchet' - rather an an 'unfinished' badge ... now I've got to go and find the definition of that !!! A search might do !?
