That is quite a handsome badge, what is the reverse like?

I'm guessing that this is the firm that turned out THE Mills bomb but am always prepared to stand corrected.

Size-wise, it's the same as the British Aluminium Co badge that turns up a fair bit.

Hi Frank

If you are talking about the Wm Mills badge, it is very similar to the other badges such as the British Aluminium Co. It may have a number but I'd have to check.

The "Guvmint" badge is, as befits the front, completely plain. How on earth did they get away with wearing this stuff?

Default 1915 OWS variant

Here's a variation on the badge that usually has a company name in that separate, applied tablet.

Again, what firm was employing them and what were they doing? I guess that things tightened up a tad after 1916 with conscription.

Default Mystery OWS badge?

Can anyone provide any info on this badge that I believe to be of WW1 vintage. About the size of a standard 1914 Admiralty badge.

The key would appear to be the red enamel "T" and the unicorn. Thoughts?
