Corona Virus - help for members
Hi All,
just a thought here, but may not be possible. Could a paypal fund be opened for forum members to contribute towards helping any forum members that may start to struggle financially due to the virus ie those who may loose jobs. Don't want to see members having to sell off their prized possesions. Not sure if it could be done by moderator ie setting up an account and distrubting any funds so that it remains strictly confidential between mod and those in need.. Be safe, Mark |

Not much generosity of spirit in the supermarkets at the moment James, wittnessed a lot of angry/upset shoppers this morning with a few almost fighting..
last time i wittnessed such scenes where people are worried about putting food on the table was the miners strike. I lived in a mining village at that time and was lucky enough to be in the building trade so we all mucked in and helped our mates. On a positive, the news is full of people willing to help others in some way so maybe the majority of people haven't changed too much for the bad.. Mark |

Unfortunately the Vast number of the 12,000 members have literally nothing to do with the forum other than being members many having got the information they want never bothering to return and two thirds of those online at the moment are guests here, you then have to try and work out who should actually receive funds from what little would be raised, a nice thought from you though and know where you are coming from as my sister was layed off this week without pay and her husband won't be receiving any pay being self employed in turn employing 20 or so others for events until this is all over and things start to recover back to the new normal waiting for us all.

Understand that it might not be easy to control, but every little might help. If, after say 3 months no one actually asked for a bit of help, any funds could be donated to a forces charity so win/win..
