Default Rare half size RNAS bullion Pilot Officers hat badge WW1

Hi
Just thought I would share this rarity. Half sizes RNAS pilot officers bullion cap badge.
This was aquired with his sleeve eagles and buttons.
Any further info on these half sizes badges would be greatfully recieved.

Surprised it does not have the smaller eagle/albatross in the centre in order to have it balanced. However never have seen one before so well done.

Indeed a great looking group. The RNAS cap badge of any type is difficult to find.

Yes size of eagle was a surprise ,but that's how he wore it , eagle ais wire fittings to rear same as full size.
