Hi, i keep trying different names what the letters could stand for but struggling, Does anyone know and can put me out of my misery, thanks

I assume you've thought of Mxxx Gxxx Postal Service? Or M G Police Service?

Ive tried Police service but no luck, postal service no luck either, still trying Prison service as this badge was part of grandpas collection and he was a prison officer, he had lots of army badges with a few prison one thrown in too

I have a Crown Agents sealed pattern for this badge. It is a shoulder title from the Mauritius Government Prison Service. It was sealed on the 17th Feb. 1965.

thankyou, i started on prison services abroad, trying Gibraltar and Madras as grandpas had a madras police cap badge.
I still cant find any pics of the MGPS badge do you have any pics yourself?

Sorry, but I don't have a cap badge for the prison service in question. Nor have I ever seen one.
