Default Para Coy

Can anyone tell me what this is? I'm not sure whether it's Canadian or British. It looks to be a tab worn on the epaulette or shoulder. It has a Velcro backing and is 2" x 1". I was given it yesterday by a friend who either didn't know, or more likely thought I should research it myself - so that's what I'm doing!

Many thanks,
David

Could it be for one of those summer exercises the Canadian Army ran? Bill A and Mike Reintjes will know.

Default Para Coy

I believe this is related to the Queens Own Rifles para company but, annoyingly, can't find my reference material to confirm it, so I speak only from memory. I hope other Forum members will be able to either confirm this or provide the correct answer.

Hello David,

That flash was first issued to the QOR Para Coy in 2003 for the summer concentration Ex during an airborne exchange with the Germans.

Cheers

Thanks, guys, for your help. I replied to your messages before reading your posts, so now I know what QOR means!

Hello David,

You have what I would consider to be a rare patch because you had to be there to receive one. They were also worn in 2004 during an exchange Ex with a U.S. airborne unit.

Cheers
