Default Gloster - fakes

Hi,

Just a quick question from me - are there any obvious ways of recognising a modern fake Gloucestershire Rgt WM cap badge?

I remember seeing something about a mold flaw underneath the "G" of EGYPT - could someone explain this?

Many thanks & best wishes,

BP
