King Crown Royal Artillery Badge - Date?

Is it possible to pin the attached RA badge down to a particular date (apart from Pre-1952)?
It was picked up by my sister-in-law at an antiques fair for around a tenner yesterday and being ex-RA she was hopeful of someone being able to provide a time-span of when it would have been worn - pre-WWII, post WWII?

I had a look myself via the search facility yesterday but whilst there being several identical badges, none of them are dated unfortunately.

It could date from anytime mid 1900's to the 1950s.
