Smile Gordon Highlanders Plaid broach

Hi all,

A recent addition to the addiction.

Gordon Highlanders plaid broach in silver plate with R. & HB. Kirkwood Edinburgh makers mark and stamped 1GOR with 19 below which I would imagine is 1st Battalion Gordon Highanders 1919 and a P for silver plate.

Has a nice thistle mark as well larger than a conventional hallmark.

Kirkwood and the use of their silver mark is the topic of an earlier thread.

This makers mark on the plaid broach throws some light on this.

Regards Dean.
