It looks like their cap badge, but certainly not the whole corps - not even a troop!

The list of Berets to my knowledge is from under Mugabe's regime, so I'm unsure of certain units still continuing to exist there.

Thats a really nice colour though, far better than that awful Satay yellow

Hi Tom
As far as Im aware the Greys scouts are still on the ORBAT of the Zim National Army and retain the cap badge and Dove Grey beret used In the Rhodesian Army.
and yes that Satay yellow remindes me of a rather nasty pavement pizza.

Hasn't been the Grey's Scouts for years. It became the Zimbabwe Mounted Infantry and I'm not even sure they exist anymore.
I would doubt that any ORBAT of Zim's forces on the net are current or even realistic considering that Zim is a dictatorship and has publicly exaggerated a lot of it's previous capabilities.

Late last year I was sent a Picture of heroes day and one of the troops in this Picture was wearing A Greys Beret, I have found the picture it was taken in August of 2011 and correction it was not 1 man but 4 wearing Greys Berets and badges they are on the lower left of the photo I don’t know if the name on the badges has been changed to Zimbabwe Mounted Infantry or remains Grey Scouts as the photo is not good enough to see. There are quite a few other familiar badges in the photo aswell.

I will check. Re the ZNA patches it must be the scanner. I am certain they are green.

That may explain the tone of the backing fabric

I came across both of these photos yesterday and the badge looks new to me. Both photos were taken this week. Seperate events. The groups is Corps of Engineers.
