Its been on sargeant militaria for a couple of weeks before selling at £5 ish so probably not.

it is a fake, detailing is wrong and it appears to be painted rather than printed (or woven).

Andy, it is a fake indeed. There are plenty of original printed Pegasus patches on this forum for your reference https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=64777
As a piece of advice, never buy a printed insignia without a good look at both sides.

I saw it too and passed.

Here it is in all its glory.

From the back it appears someone tried the burn test dead centre and it spectacularly failed...

So not so much ‘grubby’ as described, more torched!
