Default Parachute wing original?

Gentlemen,

Any thoughts on this parachute qualification wing? Original or reproduction?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Bas

Hi Bas,

That is one ugly fat little wing!

It is so unusual and unlike other wings, but I like the construction so believe it may be a locally made original.

Do you have any history behind this wing?

Paul

Thanks for the feedback!

I got some more info. It came together with this one, from a legacy, in the Netherlands. That's all I could find out.

The backside of this one looks like it's been worn in the East Indies. It has the herringbone pattern fabric and a sewed on safety pin.

Hi Bas,

This wing looks like a post WW2 standard issue wing that has had a safety pin attached for easy removal in tropical conditions.
