18th COL London Irish Rifles
Gents
The badge below came with some other London badges, but I'd like to check that it is indeed a London Irish Rifles badge. The shape is different to an OR's badge I have and the addition of the harp players shoulder rest to the bow of the harp have thrown me. Any comments would be gratefully received. Merry Christmas to all Mark |

Looks to be Royal Ulster Constabulary.

I've only seen the Queen's crown rather than Kings crown version of this design of badge with these fittings, it was being worn by RUC during the early 1970's.

Ahhhh RUC, didn't think of the RUC, thanks for the confirmation gentlemen.
As that's the case and it's outside my collecting field, I might move it on - though of course the purpose of my thread wasn't to use the Forum to identify a badge for the sole purpose of making a sale. Thanks again guys, appreciated. Mark |
