To answer your PM, here is the info as required. I hope they answer your question?

These images are from page 34 of Dr H H Cursons 2nd Volume of SA Devices from SA 1790-1962. Apologies for pictures but the quality from this book were not always the best.

From what I have been able to ascertain these early issues were very low in number.
