Suspicious badges on Ebay
Endici has these currently on offer, but I am not too comfortable with them. They usually have nice offerings and I have purchased from them numerous times.

This one is so wrong. I can't comment on the other one but the Worcs Hussars looks ok to me. |

I looked at some of his other items and believe his Hampshire Yeomanry is also bad.

Yes, the Hants Yeo. is also bad. That Worcester Hussars has lettering that is illegible?

Endici is a forum member and removes repros from sale if you let him know.

Glengarry badges aren’t in my field so I will leave that one to others. Paul (Endici) buys fairly exclusively from the ‘reputable’ badge auctions i.e. Bosley’s and Marlow’s in the belief they sell only originals. This belief is sometimes misplaced. Several of his current offerings are from Thomas Del Mar. As I always say: ‘buy the badge, not the seller or their story’. The Hants Yeo is genuine and post-WW2. Glengarry badge
Looking at the stubs of the missing loops on the glengarry they appear to be copper, originals had brass loops I have always been told.

Thanks Luke, that Hants yeo sure fooled me. That's why I defer to the experts!

I am confused with the Hants Yeo. I had been of the understanding that the Gaunt mark should be very small fonts, smaller than that seen on this badge?

However, they are also found on true restrikes and fakes so caution is needed. The bi-metal HCY appeared c.1950 as part of the drive to have more conformity between other ranks and officers badges. They (genuine ones) are reasonably scarce and always found with un-voided crowns. That said I do know of one exception which is a bit of a mystery and possibly an earlier badge. |

Judging by the number of bids it has though not everyone agrees, but I think they're going to be disappointed. Mark Last edited by dubaiguy; 19-12-21 at 08:17 PM. |

A better example perhaps? This one is exactly the same as Ron Marsden's in his 42nd thread, right down to the small die flaws in the seeding which are then copied on Endici's badge.
