Default Monmouthshire constabulary badge?

Good Evening,
Was this badge ever used by monmouthshire constabulary? I've seen a few about but haven't come across them worn on uniform in old photos, nor seen one in online collections.

It doesn't show up in Dave's special constabulary book, or in Weston's book 'Helmets and Caps'. I am assuming this is a lapel badge, though.

Thanks Phil,
I did check his specials book and also the British police helmet site, which has a good collection of Welsh badges, but not this one. The badge is actually lugged.
