Following a post by Mike H I checked my D E R R collars both on my board were the pinned type ,lucky had a spare pair of the one piece collar

1ST and 2nd pattern Band helmet plates
Also the scare all ranks trialled badge 1983 -85
N B the formation signs are a time line for me , only have seen 2 worn -most ex Guido Rosignoli collection
Need the cross belt plate 1 sold via Marlow many years ago ,Tels insignia had 1 a couple of years ago which i missed
No head dress shown

posted a photo in the gallery and my album of recently obtained item I think it could be tracksuit/ sport related First 1 that i have seen the person selling it had 2 His farther was in the regiment in the 1960,s ,also obtained from the same seller a nice R F U title [have a number of these]

Nice interesting badge David,id be inclined to agree on it being a tracksuit or some kind of sports kit badge.

MIKE thanks for comment I agree with you I have notes and photo from a fellow collector 2009 but the design was different more like the collar badge and size 2 1/2 x2 1/2 inches
Mike also loaded another item from same source this is the same design as the photo of the tracksuit badge but 31/2 x 31/2 I think once again this is a tracksuit/sports badge Don't think its a blazer badge as seems to large for a top pocket

A later sports badge i think. Better quality than the 1st one. Still very nice though.
I have a couple of RGJ sports badges,white on green ,green on white . I know theres a.black and green with white design too.

I never acquired any of their sports badges, but in 1979 I needed a tracksuit for my the body is a temple exercise regime, and bought one of theirs from the RGJ PRI Iin 'Derry.
Green and black, unsurprisingly, it's long gone.

It would've looked nice on my tracksuit (the suit ended up with a relative, a London Fireman as soon as I got an anonymous civvie one).
