I call fake!
I really hope that no one here is the buyer of this 'lot'. I know that these are faked to death and are often sold to some unsuspecting person - but this seems to be operating at a totally different level of fakery to me!

I think this should have said it all, however, as I said to a friend tonight "There seems to be a lot of people with a vast disposable income around at present".

Agreed all total fakes, however well presented they may be.

I would have no problem with these if they were listed as reproductions. If they are not and are listed as genuine, then that seems criminal.

Hopefully not at the eye watering £1250 these went for though!

Originals would be worth rather more, I assume the buyer thought a bargain was to be had!

To his eternal shame, many years ago someone of my acquaintance once told an "experienced" collector that a badge that had a winged boot with wheels was for those whose "late arrival" had included some form of wheeled transport.
He knew that it was for a local roller skating club and thought that the story was so ridiculous that NO ONE would believe it ![]() Said "collector" must have aired this story to an educated audience.... Oh dear.... |
