He we go, another Brass/Gilding metal Gloucestershire Regiment Cap badge for sale?

(I've had plenty of Genuine items from this seller so this is not a dig at him!!).
But why are there so many seemingly good (?), Brass Glosters cap badges? I have picked up one only last week that has all the signs of being worn, with some natural wear and tear! I know that there was no official 1916 Economy issue for this badge (or any other of normally, single metal construction).

Are they ALL fakes? Was there at one time a Brass issued badge? (other than 1916). Anyone have any ideas!

Did they have a militia with a reverse metal badge???

The patina on this badge makes me raise an eyebrow before I read on. I have seen many restrikes with this darkened weathered look. I would be very cautious though will add; I have had some excellent badges from this gentleman including a S/G 23rd Londons QC.
