Unknown Afghan theatre made Patch, Welsh connection?

Hi friends

A good friend of mine has this theatre made patch from Afghanistan.

may have a military connection?

Any help would be appreciated.

The invaluable Wiki says this:

"A Coat of Arms granted to the Fitzpatrick family depicts a silver saltire on a black shield, with three gold fleur-de-lis on a blue chief. A green dragon surmounted of a black lion guardant, with the right paw resting on the dragon's head, is on the Crest."

Note the use of 'a', because in classic heraldry family's don't have coats of arms, persons do!

There is also, apparently, a game called 'Dragon Dice' which features a green dragon and dice on the package/illustrations. I suspect someone found a cheap way to have a neat patch made while in country and had it run up for personal use.
