Default 1900 badge

I have 2 pin badges that are a horseshoe shape with a cannon and underneath is rfa. Around the sides are the words s.africa and 1900, they also have the latin words as well. They are both silver with the makers initials tw. Can anyone tell me what they are.

The sound like sweetheart brooches - sold for wear by wives and girlfriends of soldiers. A picture would help but RFA is probably Royal Field Artillery. The Cannon is right for the artillery.

I bet the latin words are "Ubique" and "Quo fas et gloria ducunt", the two mottoes of the Royal Artillery.
