Question Unusual Royal Artillery badge

I acquired this a week or two ago, no sign of any fixings on the reverse and I wonder if it's a makers variation or a fantasy item.

Many thanks in advance.

It's a Royal Canadian Artillery badge 1961-2016 period of wear.

Post 1968 only worn by Assistant Instructors-in-(of) Gunnery in this large size and gilding metal.

Default RA query

Many thanks Keith, I guess I should have looked at the cannon, definitely Canadian pattern.
