Default Corps of Army Music T R F

At present construction a'' board '' of C A M US items as hodges book Couple of items short -C A M U S buttons I have them on a cap but not loose
Re the size of the T R F which the corps used to wear
Hodges gives the size as 50x 62.5 mm in his book published in 2005
Marc J Sherriff gives the size as 58x 73mm in his book published in 2007 vol !11 This is similar sizes that I have in my collection
My question did the size alter between these dates ?? when ?? or are these just manufacture /makers variation
David

David, not sure if it assists, but my examples are sized as per Marc's book - approx 7cm x 6cm.

Regards all

Bess many thanks for your reply my examples are the same size as your's and appear to be of the same weave etc but purchased only a few years ago Is it possible to see the back of your items
I have recently purchased the officers beret badge -now only need the buttons to complete as Hodges pages 295 ,296, 297 , The badge purchased is as Hodges -5 silver circles around the crown and gold thread to lower scroll the same The other one for sale has 4 silver circles and different thread work, an example of this is in a forum album Both types for sale on ebay I have contacted a member who said that over 25 years just manufactures variations

David,
I have a similar set to Bob’s (only the right way up!). The three types of TRF (now obsolete) are all the same size.
I do not have the current TRF.

New TRF worn from around 2014 (the example I posted was seen in August 2014).

RMSM is showing final open air concerts at Kneller Hall in late June 2020 (probably now cancelled).
The move to Brompton Barracks, Chatham presumably planned for later in 2020. But perhaps now ‘on hold’.
