Default A truthful and very funny ebay listing!

This is one of the funniest (and truthful) ebay listings I've seen in years! Enjoy!

Jokes apart, are there a lot of fake ARP badges around? Can anyone guide me on them? I don't collect them but have often been tempted to buy a few as they do look attractive and are mostly very cheap.

I do have a couple of India ARP badges acquired locally which I'm certain are genuine.

Can't afford this book!!

Hi,
At the current time, quite a lot both in auction and on internet auctions. Some people know loads about them so can look at the factory/company on the badges and know they didnt produce ARP badges for their staff - I am not one of those, so for me the easiest way is the stippled back on the badges which is on nearly every fake thats appeared. Also the enamel on many is quite flat in appearance, originals used a glass based enamel I believe, so its quite translucent.
The second ebay listing has a link to a website which shows all of the above details and is well worth a read,
Gary
