Default 4th Australia Light Horse shoulder title, help please

Hi
I believe this to be a 4th Australian Light Horse shoulder title.
Being unsophisticated, the white metal makes me wonder. Is white metal ok for this title? If it is ok could you tell me when it was worn.
Thank you
Mike

That’s correct - it’s a 4th Light Horse title worn during the 1900 to 1912 period.

Looks fine to me.

Thank you very much Mick.
Is there a chance that it could have been worn during the WW I period?
Thank you again.

I would say no as it was a pre war militia unit that didn't serve during WW1.

There was a 4th Light Horse AIF but they had Rising Sun badges and Australia shoulder titles (but some wore unofficial collar badges).
