Cool 3rd Kings own Hussars

The two on the left of the four look like they are wearing West Yorkshire cap badges.

Interesting picture, thanks for sharing.
A couple of officers seem to have the prancing horse collar badge, similar to Northamptonshire Yeomanry.
Cheers, John

Smile 3rd Kings Own Hussars

Just looking a little further beyond the officers in the photo, the buildings in the background could be overseas and maybe the correct badges were not available, otherwise why would they be wearing incorrect insignia?

This regiment seems to have had a bewildering amount of variations in their cap and collar badges, ranging from the barely discernible to markedly
different patterns.
This photo would seem to indicate there was little concern for standardization among the officers at any rate.

Default India

Leigh,

Following the end of the war in South Africa, 507 officers and men of the regiment returned to India on the SS Ionian in October 1902, where they were stationed in Sialkot in Punjab Province.

Cheers

Would they wear the crowned "ERI" badge?
I can't remember exactly what that badge is (I can't get to relevant books at the moment, I only have the crowned "ERI" with screw post fittings, presumably from a belt or pouch).

Default ERI Crown

Leigh

Only reference I can find the ERi Crown being worn by an Indian unit is that of the 16th King Edward’s Own Cavalry. See below link !!! could be totally wrong
