Gilding the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers Lily
This is the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers 'officer type' cap badge from the Birmingham Mint 'Famous British Regiments' set. Made with a plated finish, like most badges in the set. Perhaps to enhance its saleability, a fake SMITH & WRIGHT LTD BIRMINGHAM makers mark has been added!
I recall that genuine RNF badges were made with sliders.
