There was a George William Garment whose death was registered in Nottingham in 1965, age 80. This would tie in with a birth year of 1879/80 depending on which half of the year he was born in.

Hi!

Yep that’s him, he moved to nottingham and worked as a woodsman cutting down trees with an axe for an estate. He was around 7” and a very strong man with size 16 feet, so he dwarfed everything he touched or stood near. Just a random fact I know about him just for details sake
