Default RIRegt new kilt badge

The following is the new RIRegt kilt badge but also retailed as a RIrF cap badge by the Regt museum...device is a little high on the grenade otherwise well made is a tad fragile in wear I suspect?!

I am a little confused here. The RIR appears to have been wearing the cap badges of the former Irish regiments from Ulster on Shamrock backings of the kilt edge for quite some time.

Ah, a new version I see. Speaking of these cap badges as worn on the kilt, which included the RUR and "skins" badges, were they cap badges or purpose made for this in the past?

They are bespoke kilt badges. The a/a cap badges were on sliders.

The coronet looks wonky, leaning to the (viewers) right.

I dont recall seeing an Irish pipers on the highlights of Edinburgh this year.
The QRH pipers used to wear the previous cap badges on shamrocks on the kilt too.
