Unknown patch - possible from Cheshire?
Does anyone know what this is, please? A friend of mine has asked as he thinks the three wheatsheafs indicate a connection with Cheshire. He thinks it could be Home Guard but I think it could be ACF.
Any suggestions would be most welcome. |

I would agree, possible Cheshire Pistol Association - Regards Mark

I would think that if it were a pistol association it would have pistols instead of rifles (no offense intended here Mark).
If it is HG, then I would think possibly the second phase or post war when various units set up shooting clubs - and this is my guess. What does the back look like? I am not very well educated on the various cadet programs to know if it might be associated with one, but there are some avid collectors in these areas that may know. Does your friend want to sell it? Terry |

Any idea of size ?
First guess would be a civilian rifle club. .

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm afraid I don't have the size or a picture of the back but will ask my friend on those. Unfortunately the Cadet Force County HQs are, I think, now closed during school holidays, but I will ask when they are back in September.
Any other suggestions or positive IDs are welcome!! |

Re the above badge, I now have a picture of the back of it and have been told that the size is 5 x 6 cm. I hope that may help, and look forward to any more suggestions or positive ID.
